Publishers:
CompPile, the online database of scholarship in rhetoric and composition, now features a page advertising recent publications in the field. This year that will include books with publishing dates of 2006 or 2007. The page will be a permanent feature. It responds to the need for such a resource expressed by teachers and scholars in writing, rhetoric, ESL, discourse-analysis, technical writing, and other related fields, among them the 800 users who access CompPile during an average week.
The list of publishers shown here is just a start. Obviously many more names will have to be added. To see a representative publisher¹s list and the way the list is linked with the publisher¹s information about books and ordering, go to the main page for New and Recent Books and follow the links for Parlor Press or Utah State University Press.
If you publish scholarly books that are relevant for the CompPile audience and if you wish to be represented in the list to the right, please contact Glenn Blalock <glennblalock.phd@gmail.com>.
We prefer publishers to send electronically and regularly lists of recent / relevant books. The conventional list of metadata that you provide to vendors will suffice. Further, if you publicize your books with individual web pages, please provide us with the persistent URL to that page and an electronic copy of your description of the book. Finally, for edited collections, we need an accurate TOC, showing page numbers and chapter/essay authors.
